FG has internatiational barred  flights from coming into the country after increased cases of coronavirus The federal government has barred international flights from coming into the country hours after the Minister of Health Osagie Ehanire announced that 10 new cases of coronavirus has been confirmed, bringing to the total cases in the country to 22 (two have been discharged).  Recall LIB reported earlier that in a bid to curb the spread of coronavirus, the federal government ordered the closure of three international airports in the country. The affected airports are Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano; Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu; and the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa.  However following the confirmation of 10 cases of coronavirus in the country today March 21, the federal government has also barred international flights from coming into Murtala Muhammed International Airpor...
Nigerian man dies on his wedding day A Nigerian man has been confirmed dead while preparing for his wedding today March 21 in Jos, Plateau State capital.  Recounting how the incident occurred, an eyewitness said the deceased identified as Samuel Yarling had gone to pick his wedding suit at his sister’s house at about 12am but slumped and sustained a slight bruise on his head.  Samuel was treated at a nearby patent medicine store before leaving for a guest house where he was expected to sleep in. However upon arriving the guest house, he began vomiting uncontrollably. Samuel who was then rushed to Bingham University Teaching Hospital for treatment, was confirmed dead on arrival. Country Music Icon Kenny Rogers dies at 81 Country music legend, Kenny Rogers, who dominated the pop and country charts in the 1970s and 1980s has died aged 81. His family confirmed his death in a statement on Saturday.  "The Rogers family is sad to announce that Kenny Rogers passed away last night at 10.25 pm at the age of 81. Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family," read the family statement. Rogers' family is planning a small private service because of the coronavirus pandemic with a public memorial planned for a later date. The American singer who enjoyed a career spanning across six decades which began in 1957, retired from touring in 2017 at age 79. I lost my beauty complex, house and cars in Abule Ado gas explosion - Actress Nkiru Umeh Nollywood actress, Nkiru Umeh has disclosed that she is one of the victims of Abule Ado gas explosion which destroyed properties and also claimed many lives.  According to the actress, the explosion which occurred while they were in church destroyed her beauty complex, her house and cars. Nkiru who expressed gratitude of surviving the incident which didn't claim the life of any member of her family, revealed that her neighbours who were at home died.  She wrote;  My beauty complex and my house were directly opposite Bethlehem girls college and the explosion happened right in front of the school. Coronavirus: No plans to shut down schools in Akwa Ibom- Governor Emmanuel Udom says Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom states has said that there are no plans to shut down schools in the state due to the Coronavirus pandemic. In a state wide broadcast delivered on Saturday morning, Governor Udom said that there is no confirmed case of COVID-19 disease in Akwa Ibom State and that as a matter of fact, the measures put in place at the state airport to curb the spread of the virus into the state, is comprehensive and has no parallel anywhere in West Africa.
