Bobrisky releases photo of his mum as he opens up on how she died Bobrisky has shared a photo of his late mum on Instagram while remembering how she died 12 years ago. He said she died in Mecca during the 2008 Hajj. He recalled telling her not to go to Mecca that year because of her high blood pressure but she insisted. She died while there. Bobrisky wrote: "When I tell people I look so much like my mum. That is my mum o ! She is so pretty. She died in Mecca hajj 2008. She died 12yrs ago. I remember telling her not to go to hajj that yr because the doctor told us she has high blood pressure. She eventually went and died there. Dis soul here is my everything. I still cry sometimes thou because she loves me die !"
Nigerian man allegedly commits suicide in Malaysia A Nigerian man has died after he allegedly committed suicide in Malaysia. Nwabueze Franklin Kelechi allegedly died after jumping from his apartment at Skyvilla, Serdang, Selangor in Malaysia. The incident happened on Thursday morning , April 30. Ernest Ugonna Nwabueze, the younger brother of the deceased, said he received a call at about 11:30am on April 30 from a friend who informed him that a man believed to be his brother jumped from a two storey building.  Ernest rushed to the scene and found that it was indeed his brother. He then called the police and the body of the Evangelist was moved to the morgue. According to reports, the deceased was going through a rough patch at the time he died.

New laws by the Federal Government amid lifting Covid19 Lockdown The federal government has announced that anyone found moving about without a face mask will be prosecuted.  The five-page document which was signed by the PTF Chairman and Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha was released by the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 ahead of the phased and gradual easing of the lockdown.  The statement further added that ''anyone who presents a temperature of above 38ºC will be mandated to return home.'' 238 new cases of COVID-19 recorded in Nigeria  - 92 in Kano alone as total number hit 2170 238 new cases of Coronavirus have been recorded in Nigeria.   According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, 92 of the new cases were recorded in Kano,  36 in FCT, 30 in Lagos, 16 in Gombe, 10 in Bauchi, 8 in Delta, 6 in Oyo,  5 in Zamfara, 5 in Sokoto, 4 in Ondo, 4 in Nasarawa, 3 in Kwara, 3 in Edo, 3 in Ekiti, 3 in Borno, 3 in Yobe, 2 in Adamawa, 1 in Niger, 1 in Imo, 1 in Ebonyi, 1 in Rivers, and 1 in Enugu. The new figures take the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 2170. 351 people have recovered, while 68 others have died from the disease.
Children of dead COVID19 patient and the pastor praying for his recovery, test positive for Coronavirus in Rivers Two children of a deceased COVID19 patient and his pastor who was praying for his recovery, have all tested positive for the novel virus in Rivers state.  This was disclosed by the state governor, Nyesom Wike, during a press briefing held in Port Harcourt, the state capital today May 1st. The governor in his briefing, said the pattern of transmission of the novel virus in the state has shown that most of the cases were imported. Donate your buildings for use as Isolation centers- Minister of Health, Osagie Ehanire appeals to Nigerians Dr Osagie Ehanire, Nigeria's Minister of Health, has appealed to Nigerians to donate their buildings to serve as isolation centres.  Worried by the increasing number of cases in the country, Ehanire made the appeal at a press conference in Abuja. He said although there are no shortage of bed spaces yet, he is making the appeal ahead of time so that the facilities will be readily available when they need to be used. “I have appealed to citizens to make their property available temporarily for this purpose. There are many property owners who will come up and donate to state governments for a period of time to be used for this function.  'Kim Jong Un's death could be announced this weekend' - North Korean defector, Ji Seong-ho says A North Korean defector has said he is '99 per cent sure' that Kim Jong Un is dead, and that Pyongyang is likely going to announce his death this weekend.  Ji Seong-ho, a defector who was elected to the South's parliament earlier this year, told South Korea's Yonhap news agency that he had been 'informed that Kim died last weekend' after cardiovascular surgery. Suspected kidnapper says he killed Kaduna seminarian because he was always preaching about Jesus to him Mustapha Mohammed aka Mairutuwa, the leader of the kidnap gang that murdered Catholic seminarian,   Michael Nnadi , of the Good Shepherd Major Seminary in Kaduna state in January 2020, has given a reason why he killed late Nnadi depsite collecting ransom from the seminary school. Recall that on January 9, some armed men stormed the Catholic seminary and kidnapped four seminarians, murdered one of them and released the remaining three on January 31 after they received a ransom from the seminary. The remains of the fourth seminarian, 18-year-old Micheal Nnadi, was found in a bush on February 2nd. He was  buried on February 11th . Nasarawa lawmaker, Adamu Suleiman is dead Adamu Suleiman, the lawmaker representing Nasarawa Central constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, is dead. Suleiman died in the late hours of Thursday April 30, after a brief illness.  His death was confirmed by Mohammed Okpoku, the member representing Udege/Loko constituency of Nasarawa State.  He said;  “I am very sad to announce the death of my colleague, Hon Suleiman Adamu, who is from the same local government with me. ” His death is a painful loss to us  and we will continue to pray for the repose of his soul."
113 Nigerian health workers have tested positive for COVID-19 – Minister of Health, Ehanire Osagie The Minister of Health, Ehanire Osagie has disclosed that 113 Nigerian health workers have tested positive for Coronavirus.  The Minister revealed this while responding to questions at the daily Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 briefing on Thursday April 30. Osagie said the infected health workers represent about 6 per cent of the total 1,728 infected persons. Osagie said;  “Latest figures we have is that there are about 113 people in the health sector infected with COVID-19. Although they are not all public health workers, there are good numbers from private hospitals.  “If you hear us speaking here frequently against trying to treat coronavirus in private clinics, we are actually referring to those people who do so without having necessary precautions and training because they risk infecting themselves and go home and give...
Nigerians react to news of Kano State recording 80 new cases of Coronavirus in one day Nigerians are reacting on Twitter after the highest number of Coronavirus cases were recorded in Kano State in a single day. As at Thusday 30th April,  the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC)  confirmed 204 new cases of Coronavirus, with 80 of the new infections recorded in Kano, while 45 was from Lagos.  Read previous report  here.  According to the breakdown of COVID-19 cases recorded by states in Nigeria, Kano has 219 cases in total, while Lagos remains the epicenter of Coronavirus with 976 infections.  Kano topping the day's count for the first time didn't come as a surprise following reports of strange deaths in the state.  See Twitter reaction below.
